셀트리온이 코로나19 치료제 ‘렉키로나’에 대한 임상 3상 결과 탑라인에서 유효성과 안전성을 확인했다. 이번 임상 3상은 임상 2상과 달리 1315명의 대규모 피험자를 대상으로 임상을 진행했고, 고령ㆍ기저질환 동반의 고위험군 환자와 전체 환자에게서 모두 통계적 유의성을 입증한 만큼 셀트리온은 기존 중증 환자에게 제한됐던 렉키로나 투약 범위를 경증 환자로 확대한다는 의지를 밝혔다. 아울러 이번 결과를 바탕으로 미국 식품의약국(FDA), 유럽의약품청(EMA) 등 글로벌 규제기관에 정식 허가를 요청한다는 계획이다.
